Next on my bookshelf, I am planning on perhaps reading a non-fiction book such as The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals by Michael Pollen or Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal by Schlosser. I have always been interested in reading books about health and food and the human body ever since I read Jonathan Safran Foer's Eating Animals; I think this could be a good continuation of that.
I could also perhaps read a historical fiction novel to broaden genres. I have contemplated reading more of F. Scott Fitzgerald since I read The Great Gatsby and enjoyed it. Titles by Fitzgerald include This Side of Paradise and Tender Is the Night. Some other classic novels I could read are Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice or Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Concluding The Perks of Being a Wallflower
New York Times Bestseller
The Perks
of Being a Wallflower
By Stephen Chbosky
And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.
“A coming-of-age tale in the tradition of The Catcher in the Rye and A Separate Peace… poignant…inspirational… beautifully written.”-USA Today
I chose this picture for my advertisement because it really encompasses the whole essence of Perks. When Charlie is in the truck driving through the tunnel, he has an epiphany: he realizes that there are still things worth living for in this world. This quote, "And in that moment, I swear we were infinite," is one of my favorite quotes in the novel because, even though it is short, it is poetic and beautifully written. I loved this book and I highly encourage anyone who is reading this post to read the book.
